Key Stage 3
In year 7 students will study the following units of work -:
What is sacred in Judaism?
Jesus – Who was he?
What is sacred in Hinduism?
In year 8 students will study:
What is sacred in Islam?
What is sacred in Buddhism?
Students in Year 9 are currently studying for a GCSE full course. They will sit their final examinations in year 11. The students will be examined through three examination papers. The course will involve a detailed study of two world religions, Christianity and Sikhism. It will also explore a range of religions, philosophical and ethical issues related to life in the modern world. Proposed themes include:-
Matters of Life and Death
Good and Evil
It is anticipated that the chosen exam board will be Eduqas.
At key stage 3, The Lincolnshire Agreed Syllabus is followed.
Religious Studies (RS) is an option available to take in Years 10 and 11 and also at AS/A Level.
