High Quarterly
The High Quarterly (HQ) was always a very important part of school life, as was “Reflections”, the School magazine that preceded The HQ. School magazines not only give readers an insight into the life of the School at a given moment in time, but also provide an excellent extra-curricular opportunity for students and staff to flex their journalistic and creative muscles and work on a publication to be proud of. Working together to re-launch The HQ has been exciting and despite the pressures of looming deadlines and trying to find time to meet, we have all enjoyed it and had fun. Over the years, we have had former students, perhaps now parents of current High School students themselves donate old copies of The HQ or Reflections to the School’s archive. It has been great to sit and read some of these and see what the School, students and staff were up to, in some cases decades ago. Interestingly, many things are very similar, if not the typeface and means of production of the magazine itself!
